About me

My name is David A. Lossos, and I'm the creator of the popular "Genealogy in St. Louis" websites. 

For the past ten years I have provided researchers free assistance with their St. Louis related genealogical questions. I plan to continue that free service indefinitely. However, over the years, situations have come up that required far more than a "look-up" in a book or database that I have in my possession.

My Services

My research will include hands-on searches at the many various St. Louis area genealogical archives including the St. Louis City Hall, Saint Louis University (Pius XII Library), Missouri Historical Society Library, St. Louis Public Library (downtown), and St. Louis County Library Headquarters.

I charge a flat rate of $35 per hour with a minimum of four hours. This fee is payable in advance. A written report/analysis of the information gathered is provided, as well as any copies of images/documents that I might find. As with all genealogical research, there are no guarantees of success.
